Not every community project has to be massive in scale to make a lasting impact. Sometimes the most meaningful improvements grow from honoring the past while creating space for the future. That was the vision behind The Oaks at Crosby Commons in Picayune, where the city entrusted Dungan Engineering to help transform a historic corner into a vibrant new gathering space.
Nestled beneath centuries-old live oak trees, the park features a new pavilion and water feature that add both charm and function to the landscape. Dedicated to local veterans, The Oaks builds on the success of nearby Crosby Commons, another Dungan Engineering project, by expanding the city’s greenspace offerings and enhancing opportunities for recreation, reflection, and community events. The Oaks at Crosby Commons now stands as a place where history, honor, and community come together.
