Percy Quin Dam (Lake Tangipahoa) is a high hazard dam located on the Tangipahoa River in Percy Quin State Park just southwest of McComb, Mississippi. In the wake of Hurricane Isacc in August 2012 the dam was deemed unsafe and a potential danger to residences downstream of the dam due to two slide failures on the downstream slope of the embankment. An Emergency Repair of the dam was initiated to insure the integrity of the dam and ultimately the safety of the people living downstream of the dam.
